Founded in 2010, Pravni zapisi, Union University Law School Review, is an open access, peer-reviewed journal published by Union University Law School Belgrade. Within the national ranking of scholarly journals, the Review has been ranked as a leading national journal (M24) in the category of Law and Political Science.

The Review welcomes legal scholarship on a broad range of legal topics written by professors, researchers, judges and other legal practitioners as well as postgraduate students.

Our goals are to foster excellence in legal research and writing, provide the professional community with reliable and thoughtful commentary on new developments and trends in the law, as well as to serve as a forum for legal debates.

The Review comes out twice a year, in July and December.

The deadline for the July issue is April 10, and the December issue is September 10.

The Review requires exclusive submissions written in English and only exceptionally in the Serbian language. The contributions written in Serbian will have a low priority. It seeks two categories of works: the first category includes scholarly articles. The second category includes case notes (on recent landmark decisions), comments on recent legislation, and book reviews. The December issue also includes the Union University Law School Chronicle.

The Review is led by the editor-in-chief and editorial board, assisted by managing editor and editorial assistants. All articles are subjected to an editorial process designed to sharpen and strengthen substance and style. The editors are in charge of the initial screening. Only if a submission meets the initial standards, it will be sent for full peer-review.

The full text of articles and other submissions published in all issues are freely available online.
